People have been accusing us of stealing geohot’s exploit. While he found it independently (we don’t know when), we certainly did not steal the exploit, but rather find it ourselves (pod2g/westbaer). Whether we or geohot discovered it first we do not know. All we can do is prove we have known about it for quite some time. The following text and it’s hash were posted on July the 11th on various pastebins, which proves we were aware of the existince of the particular exploit for ~3 months.

Saurik ist nach eigenen Angaben ein Firmware-Downgrade der OS 3.1 bei einem iPhone 3GS gelungen
Wie er selbst auf Twitter bekannt gibt, ist der Firmware- Downgrade bei einem iPhone 3G S gelungen. Dazu verwendete er die auf seinem Server gespeicherte ECID und SHSH.

Ebenso hat das Chronic Dev Team seine greenpois0n Webseite inzwischen online gestellt.

Bis dato gesteht die Website allerdings nur aus Logo, einem toten Twitter-und ThePirateBay Link. Diese Website soll in Zukunft für das Tool, welches für alle iPhone und iPod touch Generationen sein soll, veröffentlicht beheimaten. In naher Zukunft wird das PwnageTool und Redsn0w erwartet. Es ist also wiedermal ein Wettlauf zwischen den einzelnen Gruppen entbrannt. Es bleibt abzuwarten wer das Rennen macht
