Das DevTeam hat die nächste Version des Jailbreak-Tool Redsn0w veröffentlicht. Diese Betaversion beinhaltet bereits usbmuxd Paket, viele Fehler wurden behoben. Somit kann der untetherded Jailbreak von iOS 4.2.1 auch ohne Arbeit mit dem Terminal am Mac durchgeführt werden.

Die Windows-Version soll demnächst folgen.

Das DevTeam hat redsn0w angepasst und somit kann ein iPhone 3G und ein iPod touch 2G
jetzt offiziell mit der Firmware 4.1 jailbroken werden.

Hier könnt ihr beta redsn0w 0.9.6b1 downloaden. Zur Zeit ist es nur für den Mac verfügbar. Redsn0w für Windows soll aber bald kommen.

Bitte beachten. Ein Unlock ist mit dem neuesten Baseband immer noch nicht möglich.

Das DevTEam arbeitet hart, um die neue iOS4 für alle Geräte jailbreaken zu können. Es wird demnächst ein Update vom PWNage Tool erwartet. Bis dahin ist es möglich mit redsn0w 0.9.5b5-3 das iPhone3G und iPod touch 2G zu jailbreaken.

- Ihr benötigt ein iPhone oder iPod touch 2g mit installierter iOS4
- Selbstverständlich benötigt ihr die iOS selbst am PC oder Mac, diese HIER downloaden
- Ihr benötigt redsn0w für Windows für Mac OS X

Denkt bitte daran, dass es sich immer noch um Beta handelt. Nach dem Jailbreak zunächst Cydia öffnen und abwarten, bis “reorganize” Vorgang durchgeführt und beendet wird. Nicht unterbrechen bis zum Neustart.

Das Dev-Team hat redsn0w ein Update verpasst.
Mit dem Update 0.9.5 beta 5 ist es nun möglich,
das iPhone OS 4 auf dem iPhone 3G
und dem iPod touch zu jailbreaken.

The redsn0w beta has been updated for 4.0GM, and it now supports the iPod touch 2G too. Multitasking and homescreen wallpaper are now turned on by default (Apple doesn’t normally allow this on these 2 devices). (Update: the 0.9.5b5-1 version now lets you decide whether you want multitasking and wallpaper enabled or not.)

Das iPhone Dev-Team hat bekannt gegeben,
dass das iPhone 2G, 3G und iPod touch 1G auf OS 3.1.3 bereits jailbroken werden kann.

Dank gewagte Experimentatoren, können wir bestätigen,
dass das gestrige Redsn0w für das  iPhone Update 3.1.3 beim iPhone 2G funktioniert.

WARNUNG: Es funktioniert nicht mit dem 3GS.

Also im Grunde ist das Update für Leute mit einem iPhone 2G, iPod touch 1G und
dem iPhone 3G (wenn man KEINEN UNLOCK braucht) sicher…

Nach dem MuscleNerd eine neue Version von Redsn0w angekündigt hat,

folgt wohl nun auch das PwnageTool für Windows und Linux.

Und es geht doch!

In der Nacht hat Saurik seine Lösung zum Downgrade der Firmware am iPhone 3G S veröffentlicht. Kurz zusammenfassend: Der Downgrade der Firmware war bislang nicht möglich, da Apple.inc keine iPhone-Firmware unter 3.1 signiert hatte und die Wiederherstellung via iTunes stets mit einer Fehlermeldung endete. Vor allem User mit “locked” Geräten, die sowohl auf Jailbreak als auch Unlock, angewiesen sind, hatten nach einem Update auf die Firmware 3.1 einen Briefbeschwerer.

Es musste also eine Lösung her, die die Überprüfung der Firmware am Apple.Server umgeht. Dazu fand Saurik eine einfache Möglichkeit:

• Auf Windows unter C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

• und unter Mac OS X unter /etc/hosts

Die Liste um den Folgenden Antrag erweitern: 74.208.105.171 gs.apple.com

Damit wird die iTunes-Anfrage zunächst auf Sauriks-Server umgeleitet. Die bereits über Cydia gespeicherte Signatur (Cydia’s “on file”) oder neu generierte wird benutzt.

Jetzt wird das iPhone zum Downgrade vorbereitet:

• Zunächst das iPhone in DFU Mode versetzen
• Mit gedrückter alt Taste (MAC) oder shift (Windows) die Wiederherstellung in iTunes wählen.
• Wir wählen im geöffneten Dialogfenster die 3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw
• Die Wiederherstellung läuft und endet mit einem Fehler “unbekannter Fehler (3002)”

Dies bedeutet, dass Du keine ECID via Cydia registriert hast. Die Wiederherstellung ist nicht möglich. Jedoch scheint der Jailbreak für die FW 3.1 fertig zu sein, sodass Du später das iPhone3GS für diesen alternativen Wiederherstellungsdiens via Cydia anmelden kannst.

• Die Wiederherstellung auf 3.0 läuft. Es kommt womöglich Fehler 1015. Dieser Fehler kommt immer, wenn die Wiederherstellung auf frühere Firmware Version versucht. Hängt damit zusammen, dass der Prozess von Downgrade der Modemfirmware grds. nicht möglich ist.
• Jetzt erneut die bislang unternommene Schritte wiederholen und im Anschluss (Fehler 1015) Jailbreak mit redsn0w /”true”/ oder purplera1n  starten und Jailbreak ausführen. Danach solltest Du das iPhone mit dem laufenden 3.0 OS haben.

ACHTUNG

Auch die, die es nicht geschafft haben via Cydia ECID file on Cydia zu sichern und bereits jetzt die Firmware 3.1 installiert haben, sollten hosts Einstellung ändern und noch mal via iTunes wiederherstellen, um sich die Apple-Signatur für 3.1  zu sichern.
Wir haben die Anleitung von Saurik mit 2 verschiedenen iPhone 3G S getestet.
Beide Geräte sind jetzt wider auf OS 3.0 und gejailbreaket.
Der Unlock via ultrasn0w funktioniert nicht da das Baseband der OS 3.1 beibehalten wird!
Für “freie” oder iPhone mit Vertrag ist das kein Hindernis. Auch nach dem Downgrade kann man weiterhin telefonieren.
Diejenigen, die ein iPhone mit “Sperre” haben, können nach dem Downgrade ihr iPhone zu mindestens als iPod nutzen.

das Snow Leopard kein Problem für den Jailbreak und Unlock darstellt.

Kurz nachdem Erscheinen von redsn0w, der Applikation zum jailbreaken (iPod, iPhone old & 3G) und unlocken (nur iPhone old) des iPhones und iPods, veröffentlicht das Dev-Team ein Update von redsn0w. Version 0.7.2 für Mac und Windows ist nun online und es dürften Probleme behoben worden sein. Diejenigen, bei denen redsn0w einwandfrei lief, brauchen nicht updaten.

To clarify. redsn0w 0.7.2 update is just for new jailbreakers. No need to run it again if it 0.7/0.7.1 was OK for you. No ultrasn0w ETA yet.

Hier findet ihr eine Anleitung, wie man mit Hilfe von redsn0w einen Jailbreak (iPod, iPhone, iPhone 3G) und Unlock (nur iPhone old) machen kann.

Nachdem das Dev-Team gestern das Pwnage Tool für Mac rausgebracht hat, damit alle die iPhone Firmware 3.0 jailbreaken können, folgt nun auch redsn0w.
Soeben hat das Dev-Team redsn0w veröffentlicht. Sowohl für Mac, als auch für Windows.
redsn0w geht nur für iPhone, iPhone 3G und iPod touch. NICHT für iPhone 3GS.
Damit können nun auch Windows User ihr iPhone und ihren iPod jailbreaken.
Dies ersetzt dann wohl auch Quickpwn.
Diejenigen, die einen Unlock brauchen: redsn0w nicht benutzen!

redsn0w is an easy to use, multi-platform, multi-device jailbreaking and unlocking tool for the iPhone 2G (original iPhone), the iPhone 3G (but not the 3GS) and also the iPod touch (first and second generation). Currently it is available for Windows and Mac OS X (there are some issues using redsn0w with OS X PPC, please use an Intel Mac until we have this problem resolved).

REDSN0W PROVIDES SIMILAR FUNCTIONALITY TO QUICKPWN.

If you want to build custom firmware files with more flexibility it is suggested that you use ‘PwnageTool’ on Mac OS X.

GOLDEN RULE: If you are using a 3G iPhone with yellowsn0w and rely on yellowsn0w to obtain cellular service, then you should NOT use redsn0w right now. Ultrasn0w (the 3G carrier unlock) is not included with this release and therefore your baseband will be locked and unable to use an operator other than the official one it was bought for. UltraSn0w will be released via APT (cydia and icy) soon. If you have an original iPhone (1st generation) then 3.0 carrier unlock works with this redsn0w release.
Yellowsn0w in its current form will NOT work with the baseband version that is present in the 3.0 update, you will need Ultrasn0w, which will be released sometime soon, Ultrasn0w will work with all iPhone 3G models (but not 3GS), even ones that were previously unlockable, Ultrasn0w (when available) will be released via APT (this means you will be able to get it via Cydia or Icy).
Please read all parts of this post before downloading and using these tools.

redsn0w will NOT work for the iPhone 3GS.

Bereitgestellt wird es von PDASmart . Herunterladen könnt Ihr es im Forum .
Eigentlich ist es nur ein gepatchtes redsn0w. Man hat halt eine .exe hinzugefügt,
die einem die einzelnen Schritte abnimmt. Nach dem herunterladen entpacken
und die PWN2ALL.exe ausführen. Hab es aber bis jetzt noch nicht getestet.
Von daher sehr an einer Beurteilung des Tools interessiert
